Henrik Uldalen

Artist

Henrik Uldalen is a natively figurative painter from Norway, working out of London. The core of his art revolves around the perimeters of existentialism, absurdism, and melancholy. His work has a soft neo-classicist touch juxtaposed with bursts of destruction and violence and often speaks about his perception of human nature and its cognitive dissonance.

When and how did you get into art?

I got into art from an early age, but never saw it as a career option until I was 19 years old. I found oil painting by chance and decided on the spot that I was to become an artist.

When was your first big breakthrough?

I consider my first breakthrough to be all the way back around 2012-2013 when I got a solo show in Los Angeles as well as landed a cover on Hi Fructose Magazine.

What was your favourite project so far?

Getting into NFTs has by far been my favorite 'project' so far. It's been an incredibly rewarding journey artistically, and really pushed my perceptions on art and how my art can be expressed. The community has been fabulous with their support and love since day one.
